In this week's edition of the Dove Informant we looked back on previous events in the war, and better explained just how those events in Vietnam and the Homefront convinced people to join the side of the Doves, and why if you are still questioning the war you should join too. The included images are taken by the authors at each event, and are not doctored in any way. Those images are raw emotion and convey the terror felt by the victims of every event. This war tears apart friends and families alike. No matter what country you are in, Vietnam or America, you have probably lost at least one person to this war. The images show the detail of each event, and I must ask you to go back and look at those people's faces once more. If you do you can see the indescribable emotions etched into their faces. Those are real men, women, and children who each felt the touch of this horrific battle to "prevent communism". If this war isn't stop it is likely that at least 5 million Americans alone will die, and the number of Vietnamese is almost uncountable. Every single one of those people have a life outside of this war, they probably have a family or friends that are waiting for their safe return, but they don't know that their loved one is never going to come back. This war has left its stain on so many people, why let it hurt anyone else? Go try and end the war in Vietnam now! Protest, burn draft cards, go to rallies, do whatever it takes to bring attention to the cause and save the lives of millions.

Everyday in Vietnam I see a new tragedy. An orphan begging for scraps in the gutters of cities, burnt husks of villages that suffered napalm bombs, the bodies of the elderly that had to be abandoned on the side of the road as families fled the fighting, these and so many more. Everyday I think, aren't the American soldiers supposed to be protecting the South Vietnamese from this kind of horror? Shouldn't only the enemy be inflicting this kind of pain? Then I remember this is war. This is what war really is. It isn't orderly fighting with each side black and white. It's civilian deaths, innocents being killed just as much as the guilty. Thousands of Vietnamese are dying everyday in this futile war and if we can't end it soon that number is going to be in the millions. Millions of innocents dead. Even more mourning the loss of their children, parents, or siblings. This war is tearing apart the country it is meant to save. Whats the use of winning the war when there are no citizens left to have their "liberated" country. This is a war that America cannot win in the end, and if we keep going we're going to destroy the country were fighting to "save".

This is also a war fought on the homefront. Although the true horrors of Vietnam aren't experienced on American soil during the Kent State Massacre 4 innocent protesters were killed by the people sent to protect them, just like the citizens of South Vietnam. "Draft dodgers" are sent to federal prison for trying to escape the almost unconstitutional draft. American is a hairbreadth away from martial law, and if we topple over the edge of that cliff it will be a long and dark climb back up. America is fighting a losing battle in Vietnam and if we don't get out soon we may lose more than just the war in Vietnam, we could lose the war for peace on the homefront. This war is leaving wives widows and children fatherless. What would happen if the unrest turned to outright warfare? Another civil war in America would be catastrophic and could either change or end the country forever.
